In calm water the Westcoast slide seat sculling rowboat just flies along using 9'6" sculls and easily handles rowing in nasty chop or waves. Tracking is positive due to the full length tracking keel.

The Westcoast can carry passengers while in slide seat sculling mode although some weight or another passenger forward will help to trim the hull for smooth rowing.

If the Westcoast is a sailing model it must be fitted with a kick up bronze centerboard in order to suit a slide seat unit.

The slide seat unit can be removed in a couple of minutes, bronze outriggers folded inboard, and the standard bench seat installed converting it to a traditional rowboat.
