Leading Dutch yacht builder Van Dam Nordia has successfully completed its first new generation Nordia Performance cruising sloop, the 70’ Nordia Performance Cruiser.
Although the Van Dam Nordia shipyard is renowned for the good performance of their marine yachts, the Performance Cruiser is clearly a step into a new direction for the Dutch yard.

Marmalade for breakfast…
Build number 1085 has certainly become an extraordinary yacht in many ways. Her sleek and stretched hull lines and sloping design of her superstructure give her an unmistakable and distinct look that guarantees instant recognition and twisted necks wherever she makes an appearance. Other details are the vibrant combination of her metallic orange hull, with metallic grey superstructure. A modern colour scheme that underlines the yacht’s sporty and racy character. Don’t be mislead by her unique name, “Marmalade of Manchester”, because this is the kind of marmalade you won’t have for breakfast.

Performance with a capital P
Fair weather and light for boats winds are certainly not the ideal conditions to put a yacht like the 70’PC through its paces, but even in these conditions the yacht gave the unmistakable impression of potential. True to the nature of performance cruising the 70’PC proved itself to be a nimble yacht with entertaining handling characteristics.
