In an intense weekend of racing, Jesper Davidsen and his team won the final race of the J/80 Danish Open in Aarhus, sealing their regatta win on a tie-breaker. Fully powered by Ullman Sails, Davidsen’s team finished the event with eight points, equal with Jesper Jespersen after each had dropped their worst race. Davidsen’s team relied on their three bullets, including their win in the final race, to take the regatta on countback. Not only was the competition fierce, but the conditions proved quite rough on the opening day with up to 30 knots of wind and rain for the first three races. The second day proved more moderate with less wind. The J/80 Danish Open took place in Aarhus, September 5-6, 2009.
