The 2006 High-Speed Boat Operations Forum was a great success, with 16 countries represented. Feedback from attendees' was extremely positive and the information and experiences presented by the diverse range of experts and operators was considered highly relevant and useful to helping operators and employers with running their operations. The
informal networking between colleagues from organisations in different countries was very much appreciated.

The HSBO Forum 2008 will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Forum will start with lunch on the 1st April, and end with lunch on the 3rd April, with the opportunity for attendees to continue with informal networking and boat trials during the afternoon.

Practical elements and the opportunity for the testing of boats in waves (regularly produced by the passing ferries) will be an important part of the event. This however will unfortunately restrict the number of attendees. Please pre-register your interest ASAP.

Human factors
Acquisition procedures and experiences
Boarding operations
Stern launch technologies
Clothing
Crew training
Regulatory issues
New boat designs

The presentations shall, like the 2006 HSBO Forum, focus on the practical issues of what the Operators need to know. The presentations should not exceed 15 minutes, thus allowing lots of time for discussions and networking.
