At the end of June 2007 on Timmerman Yachts manufacturers shipyard a unique event took place. In the presence of the Owner’s representatives and head persons of the company the launching of the first 47 m transatlantic super yacht built in Russia was performed. The yacht building contract was signed on the last day of outgoing 2005. The yacht is built in the framework of the project Timmerman 47 developed by the biggest European independent design company Vripack Yachting International. Interiors in the style of “sea romanticism” were designed by English studio Bannenberg Designs Ltd. The navigation region of the yacht is not limited, specially enforced hull will make possible to run through broken ice. Owing to warmth saving windows and contemporary climate system Heinen&Hopman the guests will feel comfortable at overboard temperature from –20 to +45 °Ñ.
Four decks vessel with steel hull and aluminium superstructure was built under the supervision of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and completely comply with MCA requirements. The yacht has classical layout with five guest and five crew cabins.
Also it should be mentioned about two marine diesel engines Caterpillar 3412E with power 537 kW each which enable yacht to run with speed 13,5 knots (25 km). At cruising speed the range is 4000 nautical miles — more than 7400 km! This will make possible not only to cross Atlantic without big problems but to make round the world trip with just five refuelings. Among other specific features of the yacht - landing platform for the helicopter, all interior works were done by SINNEX (Àustria).
