Sunreef Yachts announces the first order for its 31 metres (102 feet) luxury, double-deck, sailing boat catamaran Sunreef 102 with a launching scheduled for early 2009.
Designed by Sunreef’s inhouse design team the yacht is the largest catamaran manufactured by Sunreef Shipyard and will be one of the few in the world of that size.
'‘We are very excited by the interst in this model, it’s certainly the only double deck, an innovative Sunreef idea,’’ says Nicolas Lapp, the Vice President of Sunreef, ‘‘It is really quite revolutionary in the superyacht world.’.
The yacht’s interior design will be fully customised in close cooperation between the european owner and the Sunreef team who has requested that she be ‘‘cosy, comfortable and homey’’, dominated by contrasting dark and light for boat wenge and anegre wood and a classic Sunreef touch.
Sunreef has couple years experience designing and building luxury sailing catarmarans in sizes from 60 to 150 feet. For bigger yachts we propose both composite and aluminium materials to be chosen by the owner.
