Catarob T-02 purchased by CNRS for scientific studies Subsea Tech

CNRS laboratory in Lyon has recently purchased one set of the teleoperated catamaran Catarob T-02 for scientific studies in rivers. The Catarob will be mounted will specific equipment as an echosounder, a high accuracy GPS, navigation color camera and a towfish connected on an electrical winch including an high definition camera, a laser scaling tool for targets measurements, a depth sensor and several customizations.

Catarob T-02 is a tele-operated catamaran type vehicle, to be used as a multipurpose unmanned support for marine investigation and bathymetric studies. The system allows, with its open architecture and "PC to PC" broadband communications to easily integrate any type of sensor controlled by PC. The pilot station on the ground allows the visualization and real-time control of all software features of the onboard sensor.
