Viking Compact – Easy to Grasp

Viking Compact – Easy to Grasp

Simple, reliable and efficient – and easy to install!

The engineers at SPX Johnson Pump Marine were recently given a
deceptively simple assignment: Design and manufacture a handpowered bilge pump that can be used on a wide variety of small craft for dependable pumping under almost any circumstances.
In bringing the Viking Compact manual bilge pump to market, they have done much more. Engineered for quick installation and easy maintenance, this reliable new pump incorporates a variety of innovations; yet it is priced competitively.

The Viking Compact is intended to be recessed between the bulkhead and hull. The sleek cover and ergonomic pumping handle are one and the same.
For people on board, the unobtrusive cover/handle is all that is visible from the cockpit or cabin of the boat. Install it within easy reach of the skipper or crew, and this simple, compact, self-priming unit can be brought into use at a moment’s notice.

Easy to install According to Olle Jonsson, one of the lead engineers at SPX Johnson Pump, the Viking Compact can be fitted in minutes from one side of the bulkhead with just four screws, self-sealing against the surface thanks to a durable, integrated, watertight gasket. “Except for the standard hole in the bulkhead,” he says, “all you need to install this pump is the template, which we include with each box, and a screwdriver!”

The Viking Compact’s well-proven single diaphragm design provides high pumping capacity, ensures easy pumping action, and complies with ISO 15083 safety requirements. This rattle-free manual bilge pump includes a heavy duty, carefully optimized, high flow tricuspid valve on the outlet port, and KlickTite™ port connectors, all standard. The ports can be swiveled 360° to facilitate installation in the most appropriate position and 1" (25mm) and 1.½" (38mm) connectors are provided, straight out of the box.
