Silverton Marine Corporation introduced a new model in an entirely new class of product at the 2007 New York National Powerboat Show: The 33 Sport Coupe. Debuting in a hardtop configuration with an inside helm station, the two-stateroom 33SC has been designed to afford a longer boating season, with protection from inclement weather and colder temperatures.
According to Mike Usina, Vice President, Sales and Marketing: “The Silverton Design Team was careful not to exclude the natural elements altogether on the 33 Sport Coupe. We recognize that a major part of the on-water experience is the exhilaration boaters feel in close contact with wind, water, and weather. We brought the outside inside, in effect, with full-view double sliding glass marine doors between the cockpit and cabin. With the salon’s opening screened boat windows, the effect is spacious, sailboat light and airy. The 33 Sport Coupe features the VistaAire system, a powered 8 x 9-ft. sliding glass panel for boat set in the hardtop. The result is a boat piloted and enjoyed inside the main cabin, which can be opened to fresh air and natural light.” The main cabin features a sleeper sofa and a facing loveseat with concealed storage and a fully equipped galley with a microwave, one-burner electric range, sink with Corian® countertop and an under-counter refrigerator/freezer. The 33 Sport Coupe boasts a portside second stateroom with a double berth, under-mattress storage and a portlight. A private full-standup changing area includes a hanging locker. The forward master stateroom features an angled full-size berth with drawer storage, a hanging locker and deck hatch. Located to starboard, the private wet head has a curtained-off shower area, medicine chest, and standard electric boat toilet. Several factory-installed options have been grouped in entertainment and maintenance packages for the 33 Sport Coupe. A bow drive is also an available option. Twin 5.0-L Crusader (275 HP) gas inboards are standard. Optional power includes 6.0-L Crusader (375 HP) gas engines and twin Yanmar 6LPA-STP (315 HP) diesels.
