Seijsener integrates in-deck power units seamlessly in pontoon Seijsener Rekreatietechniek
Owners of Crezee Matina in Lage Zwaluwe in the Netherlands opted for an in-deck utilities system to be fitted in a Simbro pontoon arrangement.
Seijsener Marina Services installed 65 of its Harbour In flush fit power systems for berth holders. Eight Atlantic service pedestals were also fitted to feed the Harbour In units and also provide (paid) power and lighting for visitor berths.
The project was a good example of how Seijsener tailors its marina equipment to suit specific sites, making best use of its own factory produced products with regards to measurements and technical specifications.
At Crezee Marina, the Harbour In units had to be the same width as the cable troughs on each side of the Simbro pontoons. This ensured that the metal surfaces formed an uninterrupted line. Modification was needed, as export manager Bas Durieux explained: "If we had stuck to our standard dimensions, the covers of the trougs would have been cut out to make way for the Harbour In units. This would have taken a lot of time and effort. By cutting the Harbour In units to size, however, the trougs only needed to be cut at the appropriate lenght. A real time saver!"
Safety benefits were equally important. Thanks to the in-deck power connections, the jetty surface is enlarged and is free of obstacles. Marina users can walk around more comfortably and safely.
"Whenever possible, we try to integrate out product seamlessly with the pontoon," Durieux added. "We're happy to see that this helps us build steady partnerships all around the world."
