SCORPION LAUNCHES ITS FLAGSHIP MODEL AT RIBEX

Scorpion RIBs is world-renowned for producing the highest quality top-end range of custom built rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) at its South Coast, UK manufacturing site. The 2008 model line-up has recently been further boosted by Scorpion’s biggest and most impressive-ever Sports Cruiser, namely the 10 metre Sting.

RIBEX 08 has been selected to showcase this much anticipated flagship model with its twin inboard Yanmar 6LP-STZE 315 HP engines on Bravo 1 stern drive boat legs that propels the Sting at over 50 knots with a 500 mile range. The Scorpion Sting is priced from £170,000 + VAT for the basic model.

Scorpion is actively encouraging serious RIB enthusiasts who are visiting the show this year and looking to buy, to book a demo on their 8.75m outboard with a 350hp Yamaha - the latest Yamaha engine for boats. Bookings will be taken in Scorpion’s ‘Twin Peaks’ Hospitality Enclosure in Cowes Yatch Haven which is also the venue for the organiser’s exhibitor and media reception in the late afternoon on the opening day, Friday 9th May.
