“CAPE FRIO”, Peene-Werft GmbH Yard No. 503, was delivered on 22 nd May 2003. The container vessel is the second ship delivered by the yards of the Hegemann Group to the Schoeller Holdings Ltd, Cyprus.

Out of a series of total eleven orders (plus two options) ordered by German and International owners, the “CAPE FRIO” is by now the ninth container vessel. All vessels of this successful series are based on a standard design, however, optional outfitting details are possible to meet owners' special requirements.

The vessel was build according to Rules and Regulations of the GL (Germanischer Lloyd) and fulfils latest IMO Requirements.

The total container capacity is 1,200 TEU, 456 can be stowed in four cargo holds and further 744 on deck. For the transport of reefer containers 150 plugs have been installed.

The propulsion system consisting of a two stroke main engine make MAN/B&W of the type 7S 50MC-C and a fixed pitch propeller guarantees a speed of approx. 19 knots.

The crew is accommodated in comfortable single cabins with private bath units, for officers is a separate bed room available.
