UK Government cuts VAT on Yachts

Value added tax will be cut from 17.5% to 15% for a period of 13 months from the 1st December, it was announced yesterday by the British Chancellor, Alastair Darling, in a bid to kick start the economy. This is the maximum cut allowed under EU legislation and coincides with Passport Yachts' announcement of an important restructuring of materials and production program for new yacht deliveries in 2009 and early 2010, which has been declared at a stunning 10% before VAT for the remainder of 2008.

The Passport price offer, coupled with the reduction in VAT will now mean a massive price cut of 12.5% for any Passport Yacht ordered before the end of the calender year with a simple signed memorandum of sale dated before 31st.December.

The VAT reduction also means that the lengthy and sometimes difficult process of delivery to Cyprus to take advantage of the lowest rate of tax, which was always worthwhile for high value yachts is no longer necessary now, as all UK delivered boats will benefit from the same tariff.

To take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity and to own one of the finest bluewater yachts in the world at 12.5% less than base price, contact Passport Yachts Europe at info@passportyachts.eu before the end of December.
