Michael Peters Yacht design, known as a powerboat innovator for over 20 years, was consulted to create the new hull. Peters-designed hulls won 1 1 U.I.M. This first Outerlimits Cat, powered by twin Keith Eickert 598 cubic inch engines with Vortech Superchargers, will produce 1 700 horsepower, using 11O racing fuel. This and other available engine for boat packages are housed in a unique carbon fiber "monocoque" bilge. From the French term for "eggshell" the seamless monocoque construction creates a stronger engine compartment, as the shell absorbs stresses. used in airplanes and race cars, the uni-body shell also isolates vibration and noise.
The cat's engineering matches the technological perfection of the Outerlimits Vee-bottom. Besides the light for boats, carbon fiber, epoxy post-cured construction, every ounce was shaved from this cat without sacrificing amenities. the air-conditioned, closed cockpit is a color-coordinated extension for boat of the artistic exterior. Removable boat doors can convert to an open cockpit which holds six in comfortable, race-style, carbon fiber seats for boats.
