The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department just recently purchased a thermal camera system from OceanView Technologies for one of our patrol boats. We purchased the OceanView Apollo II Thermal Imaging System with the 12” SeaPC VM Display from VEI after looking at other systems. Jerry Bernella from OceanView Technologies was extremely helpful to work with during this process. This camera system offers both the thermal camera and a low light camera which are both very helpful in a maritime environment.

We have had this system for approximately two months now and we really like the features and the performance of this unit. The customer support has been incredible from this company. Jerry was calling me about every week just to make sure that I did not have any questions or problems with this unit. If your Department has maritime patrol, I would strongly suggest that you incorporate this system on your watercraft. It allows you to operate at night time in a much safer capacity then without having it. Search and rescue and law enforcement specific missions on or near the water greatly improve with this system.
