Performance DK II Heavy-Cargo
NMF’s heavy-lift cranes are built according to the same concept as the container cranes.
The crane housing, which contains all of the important power units, is built as a closed, welded steel construction to provide protection against water spray.
Key advantages of the DK II Heavy crane:
All equipment is mounted in the crane housing for protection against marine ambient conditions
High speeds for hoisting, luffing and slewing operations
Two-fall operation at the hook for each load step, no reeving necessary
One rope layer on the drum for long rope life time
Unlimited 360° slewing range
Two pump units for assured operation despite unit failures
Can optionally be fitted with an auxiliary hoist
The crane is able to operate with graduated load steps with defined outreaches. This load steps can be switched by the crane driver out of the cabin. A modification at crane's rope system is not necessary. Hoisting-, luffing- and slewing gear are independent movable, single or simultaneously.
The slewing range makes 360° unlimited.
The safety control of operation is guarantee by the MPC-control system HYTRONIC, developed by the NMF.
