Catch Sensor : PRESERVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR CATCH

To determine how full the cod end, is so that the trawl can be hauled in time to preserve the quality of the fish caught in the net.

The wireless catch sensor provides data on:
how full the cod end is, in real time,
whether your trawl working well,
whether the required volume of fish has been caught.

It enables you to:
preserve the quality and freshness of the fish,
reduce trawl times,
avoid problems caused by overfull trawl nets.
Perfectly integrated in GEONET® and DATANET systems, it completes essential data on the trawl monitoring.

The wireless catch sensor is attached to the cod end at the point corresponding to the tonnage of fish you require. As the catch fills the cod end, the sensor detects the tension and increasing deformation of the trawl mesh and simultaneously displays how full it is on the bridge display.

When it detects that the cod end is full, you are notified by a flashing light on the bridge display. This enables you to raise the trawl at the right time, and to determine the precise geographical location of the catch, as well as saving you time and preserving the quality of your catch.

The data is updated in real-time.

All of the data is recorded and saved by the on-board computer, and can be used later to carry out your own evaluations.
