Itama increases its visibility and consolidates its position on the Spanish market. Thanks to its highly successful relationship with Nautica Vermell, a dealer that is tireless, enterprising and attentive to brand values.
Itama has come back for the second year running to the lively Spanish capital for the tenth edition of the Salòn Nàutico de Madrid, a 5-day event boasting a showcase of 210 yacht companies with all their latest models and services. The classic Italian yacht brand, whose timeless style has made it a landmark in the luxury open yacht sector, presented visitors to the 2008 Show with the classic profile and innovative features of its Itama Forty, one of the models that best represents the company’s new direction and the latest developments in its fleet.
The show in Madrid, however, is just one of the many activities that Itama’s dynamic Spanish dealer, Nautica Vermell has been engaged in during recent seasons. In April, for example, this enterprising partner will also be taking the brand’s creations to the Palma de Mallorca Power boat show, and plans are already being made for an event reserved exclusively for Itama lovers to be held in Formentera in July. Another splendid event that Itama and Nautica Vermell will certainly not be missing is the classic Copa del Rey. Held between the end of July and the beginning of August this is not just a regatta, but a hugely popular sea happening, where the distinctive blue and white Itama craft will be acting as support yatchs, blending perfectly with the aristocratic class of the occasion that for yacht lovers has now become a tradition with an international audience.
Nautica Vermell’s ability to promote the image of this classic Italian brand with such taste and creativity has already led to highly important results in terms of both visibility and sales in Spain. And the events the dealer has organized have always succeeded in communicating the powerful personality and immense appeal of these open yachts and their unique history with verve and originality.
It is no coincidence then that following on the heels of the new area dealers welcomed aboard in 2007 – the Barcelona-based Wunder Nautic for Catalonia and Navegarte for Ibiza – another important new acquisition has been made, namely Ventura Yachts Spain for the Andalusia region. At the same time, Nautica Vermell is preparing to celebrate the opening of its new strategic base in Palma de Mallorca, scheduled for the forthcoming April. This level of sophistication in Itama’s network in Spain has also considerably increased the services reserved for Itama owners, who can now count on four Service Points located near the bases of the brand’s dealers and partners, notably Mallorca, Ibiza, Sitges (Barcelona) and Puerto Banus (Marbella).
Today, Spain can rightfully claim to be one of Itama’s most propitious panoramas. On one hand, it is very close to the culture of the brand and its clientele is particularly receptive to the edge these yachts have always boasted in terms of style and sea spirit. On the other, its highly professional attitude and immense experience and knowledge of the sector, demonstrated by partners such as Nautica Vermell, make the Spanish market an ideal location for staging events that are particularly important for Itama. It is for this very reason that Barcelona has been selected as the first stopover in the special Itama tour scheduled to begin in June. The Itama Power Circle, which celebrates its third edition this year, is the ideal opportunity for presenting the brand’s new creation, the Itama SeventyFive, which after enjoying its worldwide unveiling in Barcelona, will then continue on to various other prestigious Mediterranean marinas.
