Press release from Itama - 2008-02-19

ITAMA'S FLAGSHIP IS COMING.

Power, technology and a sporting spirit for the new SeventyFive from the Itama shipyard

Preparations are in full swing for the official debut of the long-awaited jewel of the Marche shipyard in spring 2008

14th February 2008 - Preparations are at a fever pitch at Itama, the renowned shipyard belonging to the Ferretti Group - leading company in luxury motor yacht sector. Motors are being revved up for an unveiling which has already aroused great interest and will certainly not disappoint the many Itama fans, anxiously awaiting the launch of the new Itama SeventyFive on the market, scheduled for spring 2008. The shipyard is all set and already thinking of the new flagship's official presentation.

Even before its launch on the market, the new SeventyFive promises to deliver strong emotions and innovative experiences for even the most demanding open yacht fans.

Sources describe a creation with extraordinary living qualities and use of volumes: an innovative approach, extreme functionality, attention to detail, speed and a sporting spirit.

Its first new feature will be its avantop: a sliding roof in carbon and crystal which shuts in just a few seconds and provides immediate protection to the entire front of the cockpit even during navigation.
The structure of its classic windscreen has also been updated and its frame is no longer in steel but in sections of tubular carbon.

Its outer lines have also evolved to emphasise the yacht's power with a very high prow, a strongly curving profile and a swooping, thin central roof, all of which are a perfect expression of the sporting spirit of this open yacht.

Its standard layout will include 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms, as well as a double cabin with bathroom for the crew and an internal boat tender and water marine scooter garage on its stern.

Materials and details help underline Itama's truly unique style: teak, white lacquered surfaces, precious black Maquina floor marbles and bathroom fixtures in light for boat wood, furniture and decorations with soft, rounded shapes inspired by '70s design trends.

With two 1823-horsepower MTU engines and Arneson ASD 14 propulsion, the new SeventyFive will be able to reach a maximum speed of up to 45 knots. A VHP (Very High Performance) series will also be produced with even more extreme features and alternative engines which will allow it to achieve speeds of 60 knots.

The third edition of the Itama Power Circle will be dedicated to the new flagship. Every year, this event welcomes Itama's most loyal fans to prestigious locations. This year, it is set to be held in three stages, from June to mid-July, crossing the Mediterranean in three special, exclusive moments which will allow the yachts manufacturer and the new flagship to fully express both their timeless elegance and their great manoeuvrability.
