In designing the engines, consideration was given to their intensive use and to the desirability of easy and simple maintenance. These engines feature individual marine cylinder heads and wide inspection boat doors in the block, which makes access to the inside parts of the engine for boat easy, and shortens the service time during maintenance and repair processes.

This series comprises six and eight cylinder in-line engines as well as twelve and sixteen cylinder 60º V-bank engines.
