Cadillac, Michigan…It’s difficult to believe that the Four Winns F204 could get any better. But for the 2008 model year, the company took a fresh approach, including reformatting powerboat names. What was formerly known as the 204 Funship is now the F204 to reflect Four Winns’ progressive stance in the industry, branded with a beveled chrome designator. Keeping all the best features, combined with many attractive updates, the F204 is destined to be a family favorite.

Equipped with a roomy lounge adjacent to the spacious integrated swim platform for boats, the F204 is the fun-hub on the water. Out-of-the-box Four Winns creativity spurred the idea for this perfectly-located lounge – after all, activity and relaxation naturally gravitates to the swim platform of a deckboat. Easy access to the swim platform is the name of the game with a walk-through transom. Four Winns includes its signature angled, hidden deep-reach ladder with wide-step boat pads for the swimmer’s comfort. Plus, optional under swim platform lights for boats illuminate the water for a superb evening atmosphere, and a flagpole and holder can be added to showcase patriotism or school spirit.

In the cockpit, new bucket seats for boats are more accommodating with suspension and flip-up bolsters for an extra smooth ride; they also feature improved single-mechanism adjustment. Comfortable seating like the wrap-around seats at the bow and stern allow plenty of room for those unexpected guests. Luckily for guests, they will enjoy AquaflexTM vinyl seats, boat tops in marine-grade upholstery. Throughout the cockpit is the plush snap-in carpet over a fiberglass liner.

A stainless steel sink with pressurized water and a handy trash compartment is integrated in the port console. For added style and durability, cup holders are striking stainless steel. And, to keep those drinks and snacks cool there is a removable 36-quart cooler along with a handy underseat cooler in the bow.

With a boatload of guests, comes a boatload of gear. The F204 boasts generous storage beneath the U-shaped cockpit and bow seats along with an in-floor locker large enough for boat skis, kneeboards or wakeboards. There’s an anchor suppliers locker at the bow, complete with a hidden ladder. And to keep sand where it belongs, there’s a forward shower convenient for both guests and gear.

The driver will appreciate the sophisticated helm, with all the innovative touches that go along with the Four Winns brand. The striking tilt steering for boats wheel is surrounded by beautifully polished wood grain as a backdrop for the controls that are both logically arranged, and very reliable. The F204’s stainless steel control buttons have been created to stand the test of time, and include LED indicator for boat lights. Rotary switches and toggle-style controls are multi-functional and allow for fine adjustments. And, Sony stereo entertainment is at the driver’s fingertips, conveniently located to the right of the steering wheel. An optional stereo remote control can be requested for use at the swim platform.

The Faria gauges include a marine tachometer with an hour meter, fuel gauge, oil pressure, speedometer, temperature, trim, and volt meter. The plastic lenses in these gauges are specially coated to resist fogging and condensation. A marine depth sounder designed to alert boaters of shallow water is also built into the F204’s helm. And, when routine maintenance calls the engine for boat hatch has gas assisted lifts for boats.

An iPod/MP3 port and 12 VDC receptacle are at the helm, making it easy to enjoy a music collection or charge a cell phone. The port is located in a storage cubby lined with non-skid material that minimizes sliding and jostling of electronic devices.

The F204 features a bimini top constructed of high quality canvas and stainless steel hardware. The hull’s premium gel coat finish is available in six colors, including the new ocean blue, plus all-white. A two-tone gel color scheme is offered with new wave graphics. The rub rail features a unique and durable design of rigid white vinyl with a stainless steel insert, and a bow scuff plate and pull-up cleats are now standard.

As if the F204 can get any better, a fishing package is available with forward and stern marine pedestal seats. Or for water sports enthusiasts, a boat wakeboard tower and extra speakers for boats can enhance the optional Sony stereo upgrade for those who seek the next level of performance.

Customers can select from many engine choices: Volvo Penta choices range from 4.3 GXi/SX 225 hp to 5.0 GXi/DP 270 hp; or MerCruiser power from 4.3 MPI/Alpha 220 hp to 5.0 MPI/Bravo I 260 hp.
