The 220 Horizon Signature Series is Four Winns® newest sport boat innovation for 2007. Its sizzling hot style and sizable 22’ profile make it a sport boater’s treasure.

The hallmark of the 220 Horizon Signature Series is its bold gel coat pattern (offered in solid yellow, red, orange or white) emblazoned with a sweeping SS graphic. The boat has a tapered solid color band married to white just forward of the stern – a look that complements the new sew patterns and bright vinyls/accents on the sundeck. A tinted, low-profile windscreen completes the distinctive silhouette.

“People tell us it reminds them of the former Four Winns Liberatorâ series,” says Rick Fulmer, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing. “These sailboat boats are real head-turners – the collector’s boats of tomorrow.”

At the helm, the Signature Series “look” has been applied to the helm shroud, which has a two-tone color scheme and top-stitch-type detailing. A tri-spoke, leather-wrapped stainless steel sailboat steering wheel is standard. The styling is mirrored in the port console, which features a small cooler. New push button controls are crafted from stainless steel and have an LED status indicator for boat light. A compass for boat is standard.

Many features that are normally considered upgrades are standard on SS models: a stainless steel prop; Quick & Quiet thru-side exhaust; dual adjustable Comfort Rideä bucket seats for boats with flip-up bolsters; u-wrap stern seating; docking lights for boats; stainless steel pull-up cleats and bow scuff plate and are included in the base price.

Four Winns recognizes the importance of on-board entertainment, which is why the helm of the 220 SS model now features both an MP3 player port – great for playing music from home or car over the boat’s sound system – and a 12 VDC receptacle – convenient for recharging handheld games or cell phones. Both of these items are housed in a non-skid, shock-resistant “cubby” located at the helm. Four Winns continues to make a 6-month subscription to SIRIUS satellite entertainment a standard feature on all its models; the streamer is part of the Clarion AM/FM/CD player that is included in the base price. After dealer activation of the subscription, boat buyers can enjoy up to two seasons of SIRIUS entertainment on the water.

Available options include boat wakeboard tower packages, bow fill-in cushions, and a stereo upgrade. A new stainless steel arch with marine ski tow is an available option.

Storage is abundant on the SS models. A 36-quart cooler stows conveniently inside the stern bench seat, and there are storage areas alongside the engine for boat compartment, in the sidewalls, under bow seats, via the in-floor ski locker, in the helm and port console (accessed via the bow) and more.

The 220 Horizon SS is offered with six engine selections: Volvo Penta stern drive power ranges from 270 HP 5.0 GXi/SX to 320 HP 5.7 GXi/DP; MerCruiser stern drive power is available from 260 HP 5.0 MPI Bravo I to the 320 HP MX 6.2 Bravo III.

A Four Winns-manufactured SureLoad™ trailer for boats is standard. The 220 Horizon SS is standard with the tandem axle trailer, which includes tandem axle brakes. With the SS series, canvas and trailer are provided in black.
