Greifswald/Oslo January 28th, 2008. For the fifth time leading Europeanmagazines selected the best yatchs and boats manufacturer of the year. After reviewing a selection ofmore than 90 new fabrications the Fjord 40 Open may now call itself European Powerboat of the Year 2008!

“Optics and concept” convinced Mr. Torsten Moench, editor-in-chief of the
specialized magazine "Boats”, that the Fjord 40 Open justified the decision of the jury.

In a few words: The beauty and distinctive new design set the Fjord Boats apart from all of the others. After all the Fjord 40 Open is the first ship of a completely new design line. The designers and constructing engineers at Patrick Banfield, an award winning group, concentrated on the basics - a fast underwater hull, an extremely generous deck and extremely high comfort.

In addition, the IPS drives with the two Volvo Marine diesel engines set benchmarks. They will accelerate the ship up to over 44 knots – with revolutionary joystick manoeuvring it is remarkably simple, especially in narrow ports.
