Features and Benefits
Since the introduction of the new EZ Port MAX we have learned a lot about the characteristics of this new product. As a result of your feedback from the field we have redesigned the current grooved rollers into an adjustable segmented roller with a poly 4” (10,16 cm) spacer.
This change allows the roller to spin more freely and allows the user to adjust the 2 sections of rollers and spacers to meet the contours of the hull.
To ensure that the rollers maintain an optimum level of performance a ¼” (0,6 cm) HDPE spacer will be placed between each section of rollers, spacer, and one at the interior of the roller assembly. In addition periodic lubrication of the rollers and roller shaft will be necessary.
For existing installations that are difficult to launch we recommend the use of the sectioned rollers with the 4” spacers and washers. Reported PWC models that significantly improve due to the spacer between the rollers are the (Yamaha SHO, Yamaha Cruiser, several SeaDoo models, and others).
The temporary field fix is to use a 4” (10,16 cm) piece of 1-1/2” (2,8 cm) SCH40 PVC pipe in between two of the rollers (details next page).
Starting June 1st all production Port MAX’s will be built with the 4” (10,16 cm) poly spacer in between the adjustable rollers.
