Eastman InMotion Software - 2010 Debut

BUFFALO, New York – November 3, 2009 – Eastman Machine Company President Robert Stevenson announces the development of a new generation of software for improved continuous cutting and motion control for the company’s range of automated cutting systems.

Eastman plans to release this vastly improved version of software, named Eastman InMotion™, in January 2010. All Eastman cutting systems, available in both conveyor and static table configurations, manufactured in the Buffalo, New York headquarters will be available with the latest version of software. Stevenson said, “until now, traditional conveyorized cutting systems need to either convey and then cut or stop during the cutting process to allow the conveyor to catch up. Our new software eliminates the need for stopping and offers true continuous cutting. This will dramatically improve the productivity and efficiency of our customers who want to cut long pieces, such as wind industry customers cutting fiberglass and composite panels in excess of 10 meters in length.”

Since the mid-90s Eastman has offered several versions of its proprietary operating software to guarantee optimum throughput and efficiency for its cutting systems.
