Not only does the large-hand display provide for optimal legibility, but the long, central-hand tidal marker on the marine watch dial keeps track of diurnal tides while the moon gauge boat tracks lunar phases.

With just a look you will be able to monitor the tides and, more specifically, the tidal coefficients that change with the phases of the moon.
