ASIS was in attendance as the official race referee craft at Heat 7 of the Class 1 World Powerboat Championship held in Dubai, UAE on the 1st of December 2007.

After an exciting day of racing which saw various ASIS Rigid inflatable boats (R.I.B’s), sharing the limelight team management and excited spectators saw the Spirit of Norway’s Bjorn Gjelsten and Steve Curtis take their third win of the season.

ASIS has a proud association with the event and has offered all its support to ensure the events success. Event management looked for a fast, reliable and safe support craft that could perform a number of functions and ASIS RIB’s have exceeded their performance expectations.

ASIS manufactured OPEN range marine boats specifically for the Championship applications and similarly this is an example of how ASIS can offer customers the ability to customize their boat as they require.

ASIS hopes to expand its relationship with Class 1 and in particular its association as a U.A.E based technological partner. The next event is scheduled for 8 December also to be held at the Mina Seyahi, Dubai location.

Currently, ASIS produces and ships boats worldwide from its facility in Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Dubai and hopes that events and partnerships such as the initiative between ASIS and Class 1 will endeavor to set new benchmarks in the ASIS Boat rigid inflatable Boat brand. With the explosion of water craft being seen on the water in Dubai ASIS expects to continue to sell successfully in the local market.
