Arwen is available ready to row we don't make marine kits for this model. Arwen is built with high quality marine plywood in 6 mm for the planking, and 12 mm for the transom and all other structural parts. All masive wood is sapele or similar tropical wood, except the thwarts which are pine. Before finishing, all wood parts receive 3 coats of epoxy, and the bottom (sole and galboards) is fiberglassed in and out. Furthermore, anti-skid is apllied inside the top epoxy coating. UV-protection is achieved through 6 coats of polyurethane boat varnish. Five individual stripes of stainless steel under the skegs and boat keels protect the bottom. A hemp-imitating polypropylene boat rope (lightweight and UV-proof) is seized under the rubrail to offer protection from docks for boats and fellow boats manufacturer and dinghies.

Arwen is shipped with a pair of brass oarlocks (2 sets of oarlock sockets aes installed on the boat) and a pair of 6' varnished pine oars.
