Alt.En has begun to produce the two new electric boats that will transport passengers from "Les Minimes" (La Rochelle marina) to the old harbour, located downtown. From early 2009, each of the two Seabus will cover the 5km trip (3.1 miles) 15 times a day, seven days a week, in the maritime channel subject to wind and waves.

These boats have been designed upon the basis of the 15 meter platform and superstructures are an original design by Nacira office. This project represents a new step in the development of zero emission marine transportation
