Alnmaritec delivered the Mussel Harvesting boat boat ‘Molly Malone II’ to operate on a farm near Oban on the West Coast of Scotland.

The boat, which measures 13m x 5m, is powered by a Beta Marine 90bhp diesel and a single Hamilton 213 waterjet, and is equipped with a Palfinger 9000 hydraulic crane specially modified for harvesting and twin boat davits with hydraulic winches for mussel line handling. She also has a powerful deck wash system and hydraulic power points on deck for grading marine equipment. She was purchased by the same owner as a replacement for the second boat ever built by Alnmaritec (ALN 02 ‘Molly Malone’) which has seen nearly 15 years in operation on the Mussel farm and is still in remarkably good condition.
