Alden Yachts 50 Express

The Alden Sailboat yachts 50 Express Series offers almost the same accommodation possibilities as the 49, but with more room in all the cabins and the feel of a larger boat. These designs are built using a Hunt designed deep-V hull that has more freeboard and 14" more beam than the 49.
With a hull built entirely of Marine epoxy resin with vacuum bagged core and E-glass/ Kevlar skins, she is stronger and considerably lighter than other boats manufacturer her size.

The Hunt deep-V hull has superior characteristics that give it the ability to navigate rough seas at higher speed with more safety and comfort than any other hull design. The sharp entry forward keeps pounding to a minimum. There is no deep forefoot to cause bow steering and broaching. The V-shaped bottom is carried all the way aft to the transom. This results in evenly distributed displacement and lateral plane. These factors combine to urge the hull to travel straight through and over the seas with only moderate steering effort even in quartering or following seas.

As one of the last truly custom builders of personal yachts, we offer almost unlimited flexibility in choice of accommodation plan, interior hardwoods, joinery style, and marine equipment. Our engineers design all mechanical and electrical installations to perform under the most demanding conditions and to be easily accessed and serviced.

great deal of care is taken to reduce engine for boats and drive train noise to its absolute minimum. Unavailable in production yachts, this careful attention has consistently resulted in top scores in decibel level testing. Ask us for a copy of our Standard Acoustic Noise Reduction Program.

Alden Yachts is recognized world wide for its remarkable level of fit and finish, and true craftsmanship is evident in all aspects of the finished yacht.
