Milan, February 1, 2008 – 82 Open is the project which Aicon will launch in the summer of 2008, a marine yacht which expresses the new concept of elegance and sportiness of the Aicon style.

A fusion of style and rigor, a refuge for those who are continually in search of excellence, the Aicon 82 Open is a unique combination of class, attention to detail, comfort, technology and innovative design. Its
line infringes on the conformity of space, recreating an environment ideally open and functional which allows navigational while totally immersed in contemporary comfort and relaxation.

Aicon 82 is the flagship of the Open line, it is the first Aicon yacht equipped with surface propellers for boats, making it a fast sports boat. The continuity – family feeling - with the rest of the Aicon Open line is recognizable: the element which completes the broadside with the insertion of the steel plate/logo, the continual side window with its characteristic mixed-line form (which also describes the interior layout), and the large manhole of the master cabin, are but the more easily perceived signs of rigorous stylistic
coherence.

The interiors of the new Aicon 82 have been conceived to guarantee maximum comfort in an environment able to create harmony between the exterior and interior areas. A loft style, whose ample glass windows offer the sensation of open spaces and where the layout of the cabins and the ensuite bathrooms has been studied to recreate a pleasurable environment in which to experience the sea.

The purity of its forms, the elegance of its proportions, and the search for the “elongated lines” interprets the sports character of the vessel “through the shape of movement”.

The Streamlining - the term derives from the movement widespread throughout America in the first half of the last century which tended to give each object an aerodynamic form obtained by purifying the boat of any stylistic emphasis, it is the result of a formal and technical coherence in which “plastic intuition” corresponds to an attentive engineering process which allows the combination of the various components into a single organic form.

The streamlined external lines of the boat are also recaptured in the definition of the interiors. The duotone wooden essence runs through the disposition of the decorating elements which visibly separate into surfaces projected in continuity.

A layer of dark wood, as if it were a continuous ribbon, runs through the broadside of the main deck along its depth. The streamlining again runs through the sequence which unites the windshield, the skylight (equipped with an interior curtain) and the convertible hard top in continuity. Coherent with the plastic articulation of the deck-house in the same way, the overall effect of these openings is to seem suspended by the kinetic force of movement.
