GREEN MOTION propulsion/generation SYSTEM: CE certified!

African Cats B.V. has the pleasure to inform you that the last year developed GREEN MOTION propulsion/generation system meets all requirements and has been certified with CE category last April 22nd.

This is the first certified electric propulsion/generation system with retractable motors/generators (motogens), that can drive the marine yacht and regenerate the batteries for boats of the GREEN MOTION system.

The GREEN MOTION SYSTEM has been applied to FASTCAT 455 GREEN MOTION that will be launched this summer for extensive endurance tests in seagoing conditions. This FastCat will do two Atlantic crossings for a total of 15000 NM, first from Durban via Cape Town to Miami and then on to Europe. Immediately after these crossings the complete system will become available for sale to other yacht builders.

The system will be standard on all the following FastCat models:
FastCat 405
FastCat 455
FastCat 505
FastCat 555 and
FastCat 425 the new revolutionary PowerCat with wave piercing hulls.

The motogens that will be available are 10KW, 18KW or 26KW.
The present FastCat 455 is equipped with dual 10KW motogens.

We have developed several possibilities to retract the GREEN MOTION system into the hull for monohulls or under the bridgedeck for multihulls.
