African Cats B.V. has the pleasure to inform you that the NEW
FASTCAT 455 GREEN MOTION meets all requirements and has been certified with CE-A category last April 22nd.

With a length of 13.90 metres and a beam of 7.48 metres this Sailing Boat catamaran has an even better performance than before.

A sail area of 118,5 sm will give her a very nice cruising speed of averaged 10 knots with top speeds that reach far over 20 knots.

A load capacity of 5000 kg provides enough space to store everything you will need when cruising the world.

The main differences with the former FASTCAT 435 VK are:
- The waterline length is made longer and this will increase cruising speeds. This is done thru an extension for boat of the bows of 6 inches all the way from below the water line to the top of the bow. The resistance will decrease slightly. The bows will give less spray at speeds above 15 knots and this happens frequently with sailors that like speed.

- In the rear, the lowest step of the sugar scoop is optionally extended by 2 ft or 600 mm to increase the diving platform for boats to a length of 1.20 meters or 4 ft.

- The hull is raised by 40 mm or 1 inch and a half, to increase headroom to 2,04 meters ( 6 ft 8 inches) inside.

- The rub rail is raised by 60 mm or 2.5 inches and a stronger thicker type will be used. The manholes have been moved below the rub rails now to give a sleeker and longer appearance and to improve the view to the outside for shorter people.

All this gives the cat a marine cleaner, more modern look and it greatly improves visibility. Optionally, 6 portholes can be placed per side instead of the standard 5, the extra porthole being the third in the bedrooms.
